When Should I Raise a Dispute?

Modified on Thu, 12 Mar at 7:26 AM

You can raise a dispute when:

  • The transaction has already been posted (not pending), and
  • You did not authorize the transaction, or
  • You tried to resolve the issue with the merchant but were unsuccessful.
  • The transaction is still within the dispute timeframe (further details: Dispute Process Timeframes)

Tip

For billing or service issues, we recommend contacting the merchant first, as many cases can be resolved faster this way.
